Prune Cake

Ingredients
1 cup orange juice
1 cup pitted prunes
3 eggs
½ cup oil
1 cup sugar
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 ½ tsp mixed spice
½ cup chopped walnuts
½ cup glace fruits & peels

Orange Glaze
1/3 cup butter, melted
2 cups icing sgar
½ tsp orange peel, grated
2-4 tsp hot water

Heat orange juice with prunes. Let stand one hour. Chop prunes in food processor. Mix prune mixture with remaining ingredients and beat for 3 minutes. Pour into a greased and floured ring mould and bake 350° F (175°C). for 40 minutes. Cool. Unmould and decorate with orange glaze, extra nuts and glace fruits.

To make glaze: Mix melted butter, icing sugar and orange peel, slowly adding hot water to get a thick but pouring consistency. Pour over cooled cake immediately.
