Beef and onion kebabs

Ingredients: 
  • 700g beef rump steak
  • 18 baby onions (450g), halved
  • Marinade
  • ½ cup (125ml) tomato sauce
  • ½ cup (175g) honey
  • ½ cup (125ml) lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh oregano
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • I tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Preparation: 

Preparation time 20 minutes (plus marinating time), cooking time 10 minutes.

1) Cut beef into 3cm pieces.

2) Thread beef and onion into 12 skewers.

3) Place kebabs in shallow dish, add marinade. Cover, refrigerate 3 hours or overnight.

 
4) Cook kebabs on heated oiled barbecue, uncovered, until browned and cooked as desired.

 

Marinade: Combine ingredients in medium jug.
