The Course is being organized for the 4th consecutive year by ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets, in collaboration with the Culinary Arts Program and the Training and Development Unit of the University of Nicosia.
This year the Butchery Training Course is back with the motto “Get a Degree in Butchery” and is giving a FREE* degree opportunity to those who love culinary arts and who want to attend a course, through which they will have immediate access to a professional field of full employment.
*The only condition required for free participation is a €250 deposit, which will be returned after the programme will have been successfully completed. In the case where the trainees quit the Course or fail to complete it, the deposit will not be refunded.
The 3rd training was completed last summer, offering the 16 graduates career opportunities and a significant advantage in the labour market arena, as there’s been a high demand for specialized professional butchers in our country. After the end of the course, all graduates were offered a job and some of them created their own business.
The aim of the 3 partners is to contribute to meeting the needs of Cyprus labour market and to the protection of this specific occupation, thus they invite once again people to gain valuable knowledge and develop their skills, through this innovational Butchery Training Course. By funding this course, ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets support the local community and offer a great opportunity to those interested in acquiring the means which will allow them to start a career, at no cost.
About the course
The Butchery Training Course is an intensive course that offers complete professional training, linking theory and practice, by qualified teachers and experienced professionals, at the state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories of Intercollege and ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets.
Once they will have successfully completed the course, participants can receive a Level 4 certificate from the National & European Qualifications Framework (CyQF /EQF Level 4) and have the possibility of immediate recruitment at ALPHAMEGA Hypermarkets, as well as applying for a job in relevant fields, in Cyprus and in other EU countries.
The Butchery Training Course is supported by the Pancyprian Butchers’ Association.
