A hot sandwich is a tested recipe for making something quick at any time of the day. The only thing you need is sliced bread, cheese in slices, cold meats, and a trustworthy toaster that toasts bread and melts cheese properly.

Flatten the toast slices one by one with a rolling pin and butter one side. Place a slice of edam cheese, a slice of cheddar cheese, and a slice of turkey breast or ham on the buttered side. Roll it up and pin them with a toothpick. Beat the eggs in a bowl and add the bread crumps. Dip the rolls in the mixture. Remove the toothpick and fry them in hot oil. Once they get a golden brown, remove them from the pan and place them in a platter lined with kitchen roll.

Extra tip 1: If you don’t have time or don’t like frying, you can place the rolls in an baking dish and bake them in a pre-heated oven, at 180˚C for a few minutes.
