Christmas Brie Trees

Ingredients
- 250 g Ile de France Brie
- 100 g flour
- 1 egg
- 200 g panko (breadcrumbs)
- 1 L sunflower for frying
For topping:
- 50 g walnuts
- 50 g dried cranberries
- 2 tbsp parsley
- 50 ml maple syrup Maple Joe
- 16 pcs pretzel sticks
Method
- Cut the Brie into small triangles (8 pcs/cheese).
- Put the flour on a plate. In a bowl beat the egg, and on another plate put the panko.
- Dip every cheese piece in the flour, then the egg, and lastly the panko, making sure they are fully covered.
- Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the Brie “trees” for 2-3 minutes until golden and crispy on the outside. Remove from the pan and place on absorbing paper.
- Remove the sticks from each piece of cheese and add a pretzel stick in their place.
- Place the Brie “trees” on a plate.
- Drizzle each tree with some maple syrup, add the chopped walnuts, cranberries, and parsley, and serve.
