Juicy fried chicken with corn flake crust and sweet soy sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 medium chicken fillets
  • 200 g Casino corn flakes
  • 200 g flour
  • 5 eggs
  • Salt
  • Pepper
For the sauce:
  • 100 g soy sauce
  • 100 g sugar
  • 30 ml Oriental chilli sauce
  • 1 garlic clove

Method

For the chicken:

1. Cut the fillets into long strips (approximately 7-8 strips per fillet).  

2. Add salt and pepper.

3. To crust: Begin by dipping the chicken in flour, then in the beaten eggs, and lastly in the corn flakes. If not fully covered, dip again in the eggs and corn flakes, so that the chicken is not visible at all.

4. Fry on medium heat, until golden brown.

 

For the sauce:

1. While frying, add all the ingredients for the sauce to a small pan and heat on low, until the sugar dissolves and the sauce thickens, for approximately 5 minutes.

2. Serve the crunchy chicken along with the sauce.
