INGREDIENTS

  • 200g almonds, chopped
  • 250g water
  • 400g condensed milk
  • 0,5g saffron, soaked in 2 tbsp hot milk
  • 2 tbsp pistachios, finely chopped for serving
  • 2 tbsp coconut for serving

PREPARATION

  • In a nonstick pot, soak almonds in water for 30 minutes.
  • Add condensed milk and boil over low to medium heat.
  • Stir continuously with a wooden spoon for 10-15 minutes, until the mixture leaves the sides of the pot.
  • Add saffron and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring vigorously with the spoon.
  • Remove from heat and let cool for 30-40 minutes. Roll into balls and coat with coconut or pistachio.
