Twists with Emmentaler cheese and black salt
1 Alphamega sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
1 cup Emmi Emmental, grated
1/2 cup butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 200C.
Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Sprinkle a work surface with 1/4 cup of the cheese.
Unfold the puff pastry sheet onto the cheese.
Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the cheese over the puff pastry.
Fold the sheet of pastry in half.
Using a rolling pin, roll the pastry out about 30cm long.
Using a pizza cutter cut the pastry into long strips about 2cm wide.
Transfer each strip to the baking sheets. As you set them down, twist the ends in opposite directions to give the straws a spiraled look, gently press the ends into the parchment to make them stick.
Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and black salt
Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden. Serve with fresh salad with Emmentaler Cave Aged cheese.
