Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with all your purchases from Alphamega Hypermarkets. Should you change your mind about your purchase, please return the product in mint conditionsealed, unused and with our receipt or other proof of purchase, within 15 days of your purchase (the return period) and we’ll happily exchange it or offer you a store credit voucher  (our change of mind refund policy). Our change of mind policy is in addition to and does not affect any of your legal rights.

Our change of mind refund policy does not apply to:

  1. Butchery, Bakery, Delicatessen, Fruit Market and Fish market products
  2. products where for reasons of hygiene, safety or under law we are not able to refund or exchange items (unless they are faulty or not as described or not fit for purpose or of satisfactory quality), including but not limited to:
    1. Chilled and Frozen Products (including Food Made to Order)
    2. Earrings or Hair Accessories
    3. Baby Food and milk
    4. Underwear and swimwear
  1. Gift Cards, Vouchers and e-top ups; Lottery Tickets and Scratch Cards
  2. Tobacco, Cigarettes, Tobacco Products and Cigars
  3. DVDs, CDs or Video Games
  4. Products made to your specification that have been clearly personalised.
  5. Seasonal items such as Christmas decorations, Easter decorations, Valentine’s Day items, Carnival items, etc.
  6. Sealed audio or sealed video recordings or sealed computer software, once these Goods are unsealed after you receive them; or
  7. Any Goods which become mixed inseparably with other items after their delivery.

Please be aware that some products have different return time limits and exceptions when you change your mind. For example:

  • Perishable food items must be returned either within the return period or within their use-by date, whichever comes earlier.
  • Clothing items need to be returned unworn and as sold, in mint condition, without defects and with all tags in place.

To get your product exchanged or to receive a credit voucher, return the item to us at any of our Customer care centres.

If you are returning items that were purchased on a promotion, the return will be based on the terms of the promotional offer.

Any Social Family card points earned on a returned item will be deducted from your account.

Where you use more than one method of payment to pay for goods and you are returning only some of the goods in your order, change of mind returns will only be returned as store credit.

Defective products

We do our best to make sure every product within our stores represents the Alphamega quality, but if it doesn’t, our in-store customer care teams are here to help. Investigation of goods may occur to ensure a defect is present.

Legal Guarantee

For electrical, electronic and other products the price of which exceeds €50 per product, a legal guarantee is provided for the period of 2 years from the purchase/delivery of the product.
