Recommended rice dosage: 60 g per person. Creole: Add the rice to enough salted, hot water. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes for a strong grain or 12 minutes for softer rice. Strain and serve. Pilaf: in a pan, brown the rice with some butter or oil. Stir until the grains seem transparent. Add 3 glasses of salted, hot water. Cover and cook on low heat until all liquid is absorbed.
