Winter meat soup with vegetables

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 5 slices bacon, chopped
  • 4 carrots cut into rings
  • 2 medium diced potatoes
  • 1 small sweet potato diced
  • 1 leek, chopped
  • 500g lamb or pork lean fillet cut into cubes
  • 200g chopped canned tomatoes
  • 100g of tomato puree
  • 2-3 liters of diluted vegetable or meat broth
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 2 tbsp mixed spices
  • Salt
  • Pepper


1. Heat the oil on medium heat and fry the onion, garlic and bacon for 4 minutes.

2. Add the meat, mix and let it brown for 3-4 minutes.

3. Add 1.5 liters of the broth and all the remaining ingredients, mix and let the soup simmer for 30 minutes or until all the vegetables are soft.

4. Dilute with the remaining broth and season with salt and pepper.
