Ηalloumi with honey skewers

Ingredients

  • 2 packs halloumi cheese (225gr each)
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Zest of a lime
  • 1 tbsp red chilli flakes
  • Finely chopped coriander
  • Wooden sticks

Cooking Method

1. Beat well in a deep bowl all the ingredients for the marinade: soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, zest and chili.

2. Cut the halloumi into uniform cubes and transfer it to the marinade. Let it absorb the flavours for at least 30 minutes.

3. Pass the halloumi pieces onto the sticks (3-4 on each).

4. Grease a grill pan with a bit of oil (or the barbeque grill) and place the sticks. Leave them for 2 minutes, brush them again with the marinade and turn them over to cook on both sides for 2 more minutes.

5. Garnish with coriander.
